Measurement instructions

1. Correct positioning of your dog : Have your dog stand upright, as this is the most realistic position for taking an accurate measurement. Standing ensures that the neck is relaxed and prevents inaccuracies caused by a hunched or lying position.

2. Applying the measuring tape correctly: Take a soft, flexible measuring tape, like the kind tailors use. Carefully place the tape around your dog's neck, exactly where the collar would normally sit. This is usually the middle of the neck, between the shoulders and the head.

3. Leave room for comfort: Make sure you don't pull the measuring tape too tight. Leave about two fingers' width of space between the tape and your dog's neck to ensure the loop fits comfortably and isn't too tight. This extra space allows for freedom of movement and prevents the loop from restricting your dog.

4. Consider the head and coat: Since the loop needs to be pulled over your dog's head, the neck circumference should be calculated so that it fits over the head. This is especially important for dogs with large heads in proportion to their necks, such as bulldogs or some hunting breeds, to factor in the head circumference and coat volume.

5. Consider the collar: If your dog will be wearing a collar under the loop, you should measure the neck circumference including the collar. Put the collar on and then measure to ensure the loop has enough room.
